Artisan Cameron Ring of Dandelion Chocolate - Biography
San Francisco, CA
In 2008, Stanford graduate and self-made chocolatier Cameron Ring sold his internet startup to Comcast for millions of dollars. Fifteen months later, Ring found the inspiration for a new startup: chocolate. He and long-time friend Todd Masonis first started making chocolate bars in Silicon Valley, using their tech friends as taste testers. With the success of their chocolate experimentation, they launched Dandelion Chocolate, a bean-to-bar chocolate factory that specially ships its cacao directly from the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Madagascar. Ring transfers his technical background into a culinary approach, as each batch of his chocolate reflects his affinity to properly roast and process cocoa beans.
