Dale Volkert of Lake Meadow Naturals - Biography

Growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, Dale Volkert began raising chickens at an early age for 4-H projects. In 2000 Volkert moved to Central Florida in search of warmer weather and more space to raise cage-free chickens. He soon found a property and opened his farm, Lake Meadow Naturals.

He started giving the eggs away to friends and selling some online where he soon met Chef Kathleen Blake. With Blake’s help, Volkert’s business expanded and now he provides eggs and meats to several restaurants in Orlando.
