Chef Marcos Fernandez of Lakeland Yacht & Country Club - Biography

For Marcos Fernandez, family is the centerpiece of life and the inspiration for his career. At the age of 19, Fernandez began cooking and found joy which crystallized his aspirations to become a chef. He moved to Denver to attended culinary school, briefly, and also worked as a morning anchor for Spanish TV station Telelmundo, and cooked at Kevin Taylor’s. A member of the American Culinary Federation, Fernandez has worked abroad as well, as far as La Mar in Lima, Peru. Bringing experience with Peruvian, Cuban, Italian, and Southern American cuisines, Fernandez’s multicultural background is on every plate at Lakeland Yacht & Country Club, where he serves as executive chef.
