10 Arts Appoints Nathan Volz As New Chef De Cuisine

10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by Eric Ripert, located inside The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia announces the appointment of Nathan Volz as the restaurant's chef de cuisine. Bringing over a decade of experience to his new role, Volz is working with Culinary Director Eric Ripert to introduce updated menus of 10 Arts' refined, modern American cuisine.

"I'm so pleased to have Nathan lead the kitchen at 10 Arts," said Chef Ripert. "Having worked together over the past two years, I know Nathan's creativity, commitment to seasonal ingredients, and Ritz-Carlton experiences make him the ideal candidate to guide 10 Arts into its next chapter."

Highlights of Chef Volz's cuisine include the popular Wild Striped Bass, served with saut�ed winter greens and a garlic ginger broth. Homemade Crispy Ricotta Gnocchi are complemented by an indulgent carbonara sauce, bacon and broccoli. The autumn-inspired Honey Crisp Apple Salad brings together mustard greens, toasted walnuts and an apple cider vinaigrette. Poached Loch Duart Salmon is elevated by edamame, smoked roe and a citrus emulsion.

Being a top toque was not always in the cards for Chef Volz. An Illinois native, he studied accounting in college before deciding to return to his first calling. Having cooked alongside his mother from a young age and having worked in restaurants since age 16, Chef Volz went on to attend Le Cordon Bleu. Prior to serving as 10 Arts' sous chef, he was the chef de cuisine for 2 West at The Ritz-Carlton, New York, Battery Park. Chef Volz has also held positions at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, and The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.
