1789 Dishes Up Eye-popping Tricks And Mouthwatering Treats
While costumed trick-or-treaters fill the streets this Halloween, 1789 Restaurant in Georgetown will be serving up a few hair-raising delights of its own with an undisclosed, five-course tasting menu. On October 30th and 31st during dinner service, Executive Chef Nathan Beauchamp will prepare a "top secret" menu, priced at $45 per person (tax and gratuity not included). The menu will feature delicious fare with shock value---the names of which will be withheld until the end of the meal, at which time the printed version of the tasting menu will be presented.
Beauchamp's ghoulish dinner plans will include veal sweetbreads and beef tongue in the mix, and to top off the mystifying meal, "Pastry Chef of The Year" Zoe Trillium Behrens will make a spooky dessert to delight those who took up the adventurous challenge at 1789 Restaurant.
Known for creating eye-popping, natural decorations, General Manager William Watts will create a spooky and festive atmosphere. In the historic two-story townhouse guests will experience pumpkins, gourds and mums, along with spiders, bats and things that go bump in the night. Guests who wish to enjoy the haunted dicor but not Chef Beauchamp's spooky cuisine can take pleasure in the seasonal fall a la carte menu available nightly at 1789 Restaurant.
