2009 Boston Rising Star Chef Named Executive Chef At Bostons 606 Congress

606 Congress, located at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel in Boston, is proud to announce chef Richard Garcia as its new Executive Chef. Chef Garcia began working in the food industry at the age of 12 and has spent nearly two decades continuing his culinary education and mastering his modern technique in restaurants from Massachusetts to the Virgin Islands, including during his military training for the U.S. Marine Corp.

Chef Garcia comes to 606 Congress from Tastings Wine Bar & Bistro in Foxboro, MA, where he helped to create the concept for and open the award-winning bistro. In 2009, he has named a Boston Rising Star Chef by Star Chefs. Today, Chef Garcia brings his culinary talent to 606 Congress to offer a menu of modern farm cuisine with regional influences and featuring high-quality ingredients.

Chef Garcia will continue to strengthen the relationships that 606 Congress proudly shares with notable local and national organizations including Slow Food Boston, Chefs Collaborative, the New England Aquarium, CleanFish and more, through special events, partnership dinners and ingredient-driven seasonal menu specials.
