“hook It And Cook It” Package Lets Diners Catch Their Own Meal

Duck, N.C--Seafood lovers take note: The Left Bank restaurant at The Sanderling Resort in Duck, NC will offer an unusual “Hook It and Cook It” fall fishing package mid-week during the month of September 2003. The adventure requires a minimum of four guests and can extend to six people, making it ideal for three couples who love deep sea fishing and dining together.

Available September 9th-11th and September 25th-28th, the package includes accommodations for three nights, either in a detached three-bedroom villa on the beach or at the Sanderling Resort and Spa; one day of deep water fishing on The Sanderling, the resort’s own luxury power fishing boat, complete with a packed lunch and beverages for four or six, and staffed by a guide and crew; limousine transportation from the resort to the boat, docked at the nearby harbor; a demonstration on cleaning and cooking fish by Left Bank chef George Robinson, followed by lunch, a fabulous four-course fin feast served with matching wines at the villa or at the Left Bank restaurant; plus a dinner at the Left Bank as well.

Guests participating in the Hook It and Cook It package, who enjoy eating seafood but draw the line at catching their own lunch, may visit the spa instead and enjoy a facial, a massage, a soothing wrap, or all of the above. The spa option applies only when all members of the group, be it four or six, choose spa treatments over tackle and a day on the boat.

If visitors do not reel in enough fish for lunch during the deep-sea excursion, not to worry; the chefs can tap their own sources of impeccably fresh seafood.

Cost of Hook It and Cook It breaks down according to size of group and choice of accommodations. Gratuity is not included in the pricing, which reflects a three-night stay and all components of the package including sales tax.

Six person package at the villa is $5,186.20 or $864.36 per person. Four person package at the villa is $4,775.80 or $1,193.95 per person. Three couple package at the resort is $5,780.91 or $1926.97 per couple/ $963.48 per person. Two couple package at the resort is $4,332.28 or $2,166.14 per couple/ $1,083.07 per person.
