Ach Du Lieber! The Ritz-carlton, Philadelphia Celebrates Oktoberfest

Autumn is just around the corner...and that can mean only one thing... Oktoberfest.
The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia celebrates the weekend of October 26-28 with warm pretzels at turndown for in-house guests, and pretzels and "Stiefel" (a yard) or "Mass" (liter) of German beers in The Vault and The Rotunda.

On Friday and Saturday October 26 and 27, enjoy a special German Cake buffet in The Rotunda, as well as coffee and cakes that are popular in Germany, replacing the British inspired Afternoon Tea.

On Saturday, October 27, an authentic "Oom-Pah-Pah" band will entertain in The Rotunda, plus, in Pantheon, a lunch and dinner menu featuring such authentic delights as a sausage, spaetzle, sausage, potato salad and saurkraut tastings, flights of German beers (light to dark) and a selection of over 15 mustards-from spicy to sweet-will be available Friday and Saturday from 11:30 to 10:00, and from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Sunday with a German Sunday Brunch from 11:30-2:30, thanks to our German-born executive chef, Kai Lermen. For those who wish to take a bit of the celebration to the home kitchen, on Saturday, October 27, learn the art of apfel struedel from our (and Kai's) own Brigitte Lermen from 9 to 10 a.m., learn the mysteries of creating the perfect German comfort food, spaetzle, with chef Kai from noon to 1 p.m. and join pastry chef Sebastien Thieffine for a German cookie class from 2 to 3 p.m. All classes will take place in Paris Bar and Grill (after all, France does border Germany!). Classes are $25 each.
