After Hours With Daniel Returns For New Season

MOJO HD'S AFTER HOURS WITH DANIEL RETURNS FOR THIRD SEASON MARCH 16

Legendary Chef Daniel Boulud Collaborates with Chefs in Miami and New Orleans

New York-Renowned chef Daniel Boulud, who just opened his newest restaurant "Bar Boulud" in New York City this January, resumes his pursuit of co-creating extraordinary late-night meals with the finest chefs in America for MOJO HD's fan favorite After Hours with Daniel. The third season serves up the distinctive flavors of two culinary meccas of the South: Miami (five episodes) and New Orleans (five episodes). After Hours with Daniel returns with new half-hour shows Sunday, March 16 at 9:00pm, ET/PT.

In Daniel's "after hours" tradition, he gathers with fellow chefs after their restaurants close to prepare sumptuous meals that may not appear on their restaurant's menu. On the series, he visits with host chefs early in the day to prepare each course. They experiment with new ingredients and techniques as well as resurrect old family recipes and rustic dishes from their past. Eight hours later, dinner is served to all the chefs plus invited food writers and local celebrities. This season, After Hours with Daniel goes to two world-famous cities, each noted for their celebrated cuisines and unique flavors, fresh ingredients as well as for their architecture, nightlife and balmy climates.

Featured restaurants and host chefs from South Florida include: "Michael's Genuine Food and Drink" with Michael Schwartz (Miami); "Ortanique" with Cindy Hutson (Coral Cables); "The Lido at the Standard Hotel" with Mark Zeitouni (Miami); "Michy's" with Michelle Bernstein (Miami) and "Sardinia Restaurant" with Pietro Vardeu (Miami). "Roasted Grouper," "Curried Whole Yellow Tail Snapper with West Indian Pumpkin and Local Spiny Lobster," "Bouillabaisse Antiboise Style," "Rabbit Braised with Leeks" and "Whole Roasted Pig with MOJO Sauce" are just a few of the fabulous international and seafood inspired dishes on the Miami menu.

Restaurants and host chefs selected in New Orleans include: "Bayona" with Susan Spicer; "Commander's Palace" with Tory McPhail; "August" with John Besh; "Stella!" with Scott Boswell and "Cochon" with Donald Link. After Hours with Daniel: New Orleans serves up Creole infused and other inventive dishes: "Cassoulet with Whole Goose," "Le Grand Pot au Feu," "Petit Turtle Soup," "Stuffed Redfish with Buster Crabs and Mushrooms," "Quail Gumbo" (using quail hunted by Daniel that day), "Venison Saddle with Chestnut and Petit Farcis," "Choucroute Garni Alsation" and "Crawfish Pies."

In Miami, the "Michael's Genuine Food and Drink" episode includes Daniel talking about the importance of pleasing returning customers and being willing to go off menu. He fondly remembers a patron who returned to the restaurant over 600 times over the last eight years. In New Orleans, guests talked about the notion of restaurants providing people with a place to gather and socialize after Hurricane Katrina. And what New Orleans gathering would be complete without music? Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews and Jeremy Davenport broke out their horns at each of the dinners they attended.

About Host Daniel Boulud: Daniel Boulud was raised on his family's farm outside of Lyon, a region known as France's culinary capital. However, it is in New York City that he has made his mark. He trained with some of the great French chefs of the era, and now continues this tradition of apprenticeship by training countless young chefs i
