Alabama's Jim 'n Nick's Bar-b-q Brings The Heritage Of Southern Barbecue To New York City
CITY GRIT, the NoLiTa Culinary Salon from Chef Sarah Simmons, will be playing host to authentic, deep-South barbecue on January 19th and 20th featuring Jim 'N Nick's-the Alabama-based restaurants known for their barbecue expertise and commitment to freshly-made Southern cuisine. Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q takes no short cuts; meats are hickory-smoked low and slow and everything from the fresh-squeezed lemonade to the croutons that top their salads is made from scratch. The partners of Jim 'N Nick's have expanded their focus through developing a Heritage Hog program. This is designed to reconstruct a sustainable economic foundation for local farmers and reconnect the restaurant's customers with the authentic flavors of naturally-raised, purebred pork.
