All-star Team To Open Slightly Oliver, Upper West Side's First Cocktail-themed Gastropub

WHO: Restaurateurs Stanton du Toit, JD Strauss and Turgut Balikci have announced the opening of Slightly Oliver, a cocktail-themed Gastropub located at 511 Amsterdam Avenue on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The venue marries the culinary expertise of Chefs Luis Ulloa (Tolani) and Jason Hicks (Jones Wood Foundry) with the mixology wizardry of Albert Trummer and Orson Salicetti (Apotheke and Theater Bar).

WHAT: Slightly Oliver brings guests a commonwealth-inspired menu of seasonal food with an option for every palate. Executive Chef Luis Ulloa is known for the tantalizing flavors and unique visual appeal of dishes that emphasize fresh, authentic ingredients; now, teamed with the expertise of Consulting Chef Jason Hicks and Mixologists Albert Trummer and Orson Salicetti, Slightly Oliver presents a combination of unique Gastropub cuisine and an apothecary-style bar with barrel-aged cocktails in a setting to match.

This commonwealth-inspired cocktail-based Gastropub, features a menu that changes seasonally to showcase ingredients at the peak of their freshness. The versatile signature cocktail list features a three part menu appealing to both the neighborhood crowd and the cocktail connoisseur. Guests will find traditional five ingredient punches, food and cocktail pairings, and Slightly Oliver's take on Prohibition Era cocktails - classic cocktails with a modern twist.
