Americas Greatest Chefs Salute Citymealson-wheels

Americas Greatest Chefs return to Rockefeller Center for its 15th annual benefit for Citymeals-on-Wheels. Created as a tribute to James Beard, this years theme From Sea to Shining Sea is a patriotic tribute to American cuisine. Hosted by Jerry I. Speyer and Nick Valenti of Restaurant Associates and co-chaired by John Pomerantz and Barbara Riley Levin, the tribute promises to bring the top chefs from all over the United States to showcase their culinary expertise. 1200 guests are expected for dinner and dancing. Famed architect David Rockwell will design the elements of dicor.

In addition to regional cuisine, Americas Greatest Chefs Salute Citymeals-on-Wheels will feature wine from the following vineyards: Archery Summit, Beaulieu Vineyards, Bedell Cellars, Bonterra, Bottega Vinaia, Chandon, Clos DuBois, Corey Creek, Lenz Winery, Maison Louis Jadot, Neibaum Coppola Estate Winery, Pine Ridge Winery,St. Francis Vineyards & Winery, Sterling Vineyards, Herman J. Weimar Vineyard and Wvlffer Estate.

Americas Greatest Chefs From Sea to Shining Sea benefits Citymeals-on-Wheels. Founded in 1981 by Gael Greene and James Beard, Citymeals-on-Wheels seeks to provide a continuous lifeline of nutritious food and human company to homebound elderly New Yorkers in need, thereby helping them to live with dignity in their own familiar homes and communities. Citymeals on-Wheels funds nearly 200 neighborhood-based meals-on-wheels programs and, because of their partnership with the New York City Department of Aging and gifts designated for administrative expenses, 100% of all other donations are used entirely for the preparation and delivery of meals.

Americas Greatest Chefs Salute Citymeals-On-Wheels  From Sea to Shining Sea will take place at the Gardens and Restaurants of Rockefeller Center from 7:30 to midnight with a special VIP reception beginning at 6:30. Tickets are $375.
