Annual Wine Tasting & Auction Raises Millions For Heart Disease Research

Washington, DC-The 8th Annual Heart's Delight Wine Tasting & Auction, a premier destination event, hosts leaders from the country's business, medical, and political communities who share a love of food and wine and a concern for the prevention of heart disease. Master winemakers, culinary greats, and distinguished guests gather to play and bid from May 10-12 in the Nation's Capital. Over the past 7 years, Heart's Delight has raised more than $4.8 million in support of the lifesaving mission and research of the American Heart Association.

Each evening of Heart's Delight boasts unique opportunities and exciting personalities. Thursday features a series of Intimate Wine Dinners in private homes and Embassies, while Friday's Vintners Dinner at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium highlighting the wines of Chbteau Mouton Rothschild followed by a live auction lead by Sotheby's Jamie Ritchie. The weekend closes with a bang on Saturday with a seated tasting of Bordeaux wines brought to life by Chateau owners and directors, followed by exclusive opportunities to bid on live and silent auction lots, dynamic seminars, and gourmet food prepared by world-renowned chefs.

Cardiovascular disease kills more Americans than any other disease, and Heart's Delight Wine Tasting & Auction ranks among the top fundraising events in the nation. This year's event promises to be another phenomenal weekend, benefiting a worthy cause.
