WHAT:Asia de Cuba at Mondrian is described by Zagat Survey as a "hot", Asian-Latin fusion destination in Sunset Strip's Mondrian hotel, a "total sensual experience" thanks to "excellent" cuisine, Philippe Starck's "sexy", "eye candy"-studded scene and "awesome" city views. Now patrons at "one of the hottest restaurants in the country" (Extra Television) can enjoy a sampling of everything on the renowned Asian-Latin fusion menu by indulging in the first ever, brand new Tasting Menu.

MORE: Chill and sip on rums from Brazil, Anguilla, St. Croix, Puerto Rico, and Barbados, to name a few. The tasting menu begins with the Tempura Shrimp (with black bean and jalapeno aioli and sweet chili sauce) and Lemongrass Chicken Skewers (marinated in a sweet and spicy coconut Thai chili sauce served with grilled pineapple and lychee) paired with the 2004 Pierre Sparr Pinot Blanc from Alsace-France. Nosh on Katie Holmes' favorite Calamari Salad with chayote, hearts of palm, bananas, cashews, chicory, radiccio and frisee, drizzled with a tangy orange sesame dressing followed by an intermezzo of a to-die-for sampling of the mojito sorbet. Patrons and movie stars alike can treat their selves to Miso Cured Alaskan Butterfish (paired with the 2005 Hanna Sauvignon Blanc from Napa, California), Char Sui Beef Short Ribs (paired perfectly with a 2001 Truchard Syrah from Carneros, California ) and Avocado Plantain Fried Rice. Entice yourself with a delectable platter of signature desserts and Taylor's 10 Year Tawny Port, hand-picked by Executive Chef Daniel Roberts.

WHEN:The Asia de Cuba tasting menu is offered Sunday through Wednesday and is $95 per person for wine pairings and food and $65 per person for food excluding tax and gratuity.
