Atlanta Brewing Company Selects Ajax Turner as Distributor in Nashville Market
Atlanta, GA (June 4, 2007) - Atlanta Brewing Company's expansion into Nashville, TN is off to an impressive start since selecting Ajax Turner as their wholesaler. ABC is the first independently owned and operated craft brewery to be distributed by Ajax Turner, one of the largest Anheuser-Busch wholesalers on the East coast. The beers from Atlanta's oldest craft brewery are available in bottles and on draft at many locations in metropolitan Nashville, including: Jackson's Bar & Bistro, Brick Cafe, Paradise Park, Liquid Smoke, 3 Crow Bar, and the Downtown Hilton.
The Atlanta Brewing Company has flourished in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. Well known for crafting exceptional beers, Brew master Dave McClure has garnered a loyal following of devoted beer drinkers in the Atlanta area. Founded in 1993, the award-winning Atlanta Brewing Company (ABC) is the oldest operational brewery in the state of Georgia. In late 2005 new ownership and management was welcomed to the brewery: Robert Budd, serving as President, and Dave Weil, Director of Operations, and Marketing Director, Grey Martin joined longtime ABC Brewmaster Dave McClure and Marketing Director Grey Martin.
Red Brick Ale was the first beer brewed by ABC and remains its flagship brand; it is available year round, as are Peachtree Pale Ale and Red Brick Blonde. In 2005, Concentrics Hospitality asked ABC to collaborate with Chef Todd Rushing on a signature beer for their renowned Atlanta restaurants. The result was Numbers Ale, which promptly won a Best of Atlanta award from local weekly paper Creative Loafing. Reverend Mudbone Ale was developed to complement the menu of Jim N' Nick's BBQ (Operating 19 locations serving the communities of Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee). ABC currently offers a traditional, German-style Hefeweizen in the summer months, and a double-chocolate, Oatmeal Porter in the winter with more seasonal brews slated to join the line-up in 2007.
