“BIG DAVE’S” EGG NOG SEASON ARRIVES AT ALL 3 LOCATIONS OF THE HUNGRY CAT

The holiday season officially begins at The Hungry Cat locations with the arrival of “Big Dave’s” Egg Nog, available for takeout or served by the glass. The egg nog liquors include spiced rum, brandy and Jameson whiskey. When served in the restaurant, the nog is finished with nutmeg and cinnamon. “Big Dave” received the recipe from his father and this Lentz recipe has been carefully guarded for three generations. According to Chef/Owner David Lentz, “It's a classic egg nog and I'm assuming it's a crème anglaise base, but my father won’t tell anyone. I’m still waiting to sign the confidentiality agreement.”

“Big Dave’s” Egg Nog is available now until the end of the year for holiday dining, gifting and other celebrations. Packed in flip-top glass bottles that can be reused if not returned, the egg nog sells for $38 a liter with bottle refills at $34. It can be ordered by the glass for $10. Available at all three locations of The Hungry Cat through New Year's Day, or as long as supply lasts and “Big Dave” is still blending.
