Brennan's Of Houston Shines In Its 40th Year

BRENNAN'S OF HOUSTON SHINES IN ITS 40TH YEAR

Houston's Culinary Gem Welcomes Friends Old and New
to Celebrate the Milestone Anniversary

HOUSTON (April 16, 2007) - In 1967, the Brennan family of New Orleans embarked on a journey to bring their renowned culture of Southern hospitality to the people of Houston, passionately committed to the creation of enduring dining memories. More than a restaurant, Brennan's of Houston (3300 Smith St.) is the culmination of that single-minded passion - a unique dining destination that, to its many loyal guests, has been a virtual second home over the years, hosting countless birthdays, weddings, graduations and anniversaries. Now Brennan's invites its many friends, old and new, to gather around its tables to celebrate another significant anniversary: the restaurant's 40th year in business.

To kick off this milestone year, on April 15, 2007, beginning at 6 p.m., Brennan's will host an all-night 40th Year Celebration and Open House at the restaurant. Joining President Alex Brennan-Martin and Executive Chef Randy Evans will be some of the many great Houston chefs who have launched their careers at Brennan's throughout the decades. They will return to cook delicious food for guests, raise a glass to the restaurant's continued success and mingle with old friends and loyal patrons.

Among the chefs in attendance will be: Chef Walter Odermatt (one of the founding chefs from 1967) of Odermatt Ice; Chef Mark Cox of Mark's; Chef Lance Fegan of The Glass Wall; Chef Mark Holley of Pesce; Chef Mario Childs of Pappas Bros.; Chef Javier Lopez of Pesce; Chef Chris Shepherd of Catalan and many more.

Also returning to greet guests for the evening's festivities and reminiscences will be
Brennan's of Houston's very first Maitre d', Roberto Lloret, known by the Houston Post - and many Brennan's faithful - as "The Man with the Moustache".

Brennan's of Houston's 40th Year Celebration and Open House is complimentary and open to the public, but RSVPs are appreciated. Please call (713) 522-9711 or e-mail reservations@brennanshouston.com.

Brennan's of Houston is open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 5:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. and until 9:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. Jazz brunch, a longstanding Houston tradition at Brennan's, is served Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features a special menu and live music throughout the restaurant and in the breath-taking courtyard.
