Bretonne Chef Takes The Reins At The Cafe At Maison Robert

Erwan Laurenceau, who arrived in Boston last fall from a Michelin- starred background in Brittany, France, has been named Sous Chef at The Cafe at Maison Robert. He reports to Executive Chef Ken Duckworth. This month, Erwan debuts a menu of ethereal dishes bursting with spring; also available on The Terrace.

* Flan de Petit Pois - Spring pea custard with spinach salad & carrot vinaigrette ($9)

* Lapin Farci - Lettuce and tomato-stuffed loin of rabbit, accompanied by a potato cake in port wine sauce and asparagus ($18)

* Veal Medallions with mushroom flan, leek & arugula crepe, mustard sauce ($22)

* Tarte de Homard - Lobster tart with cauliflower, carrot, zucchini and Pineau de Charentes sauce ($23)

Jazz on The Terrace

The 6th annual jazz series has been expanded for 2002, and starts on June 5. Come for top name live jazz music and stay for cocktails and dinner in Bostons most coveted urban garden every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Never a cover. Always a breeze. Local artist Harriet Lovitt Damm exhibits beach scenes in oil June 1 through July 27.
