Brian Halloran Directs Culinary Services At Fishery Products International
Fishery Products International, Inc. (FPI), a leading supplier of frozen seafood and a premier importer of shrimp and finfish to the North American foodservice, retail and warehouse club marketplace, has named Brian Halloran as corporate chef/director of culinary. In his new role, Chef Halloran will oversee the day-to-day product development activities of the Danvers development team and provide culinary support to FPI sales groups, both on the road and at the R&D demonstration kitchen.
"As the number one supplier of value-added and custom-designed products, FPI is now positioned to strengthen its seafood category leadership within the foodservice segment,” says FPI President Kevin Murphy. “By bringing Chef Brian Halloran on board, with his long list of culinary skills and accomplishments, we are well on our way to achieving that goal.”
With 30+ years in the hospitality industry, Chef Halloran brings extensive culinary experience to FPI. The root of his wide experience stems from working under the tutelage of three-star Chef Roger Verge at the Moulin de Mougins in the south of France. Early in his career, while at the helm of the legendary Lock Ober Cafi in Boston, he was the recipient of the coveted Ivy Award.
As Executive Chef of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, Halloran attracted such renowned guest chefs as Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse, and Daniel Boulod as well as his mentor Verge. He has also catered to international yachting syndicates as director of culinary operations on Bannister’s Wharf in Newport, RI during the America’s Cup races and served on regional boards for Share Our Strength, a leading national anti-hunger, anti-poverty organization. Most recently, Chef Halloran was manager of culinary production at Brown University.
