Brunch Service Begins on August 16 at Los Angeles Restaurant Fifty Seven
Los Angeles’ downtown Arts District has fully embraced Fifty Seven’s dinner offerings presented by a rotating roster of chefs from around the country. The notable new restaurant will now offer brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 3pm beginning on August 16.
Chef Josh Drew was constantly lauded as having executed one of the best brunches in Los Angeles while at Farmshop. Now at Fifty Seven he will continue that tradition and the menu will feature a variety of items “From The Bakeshop” such as a Rosemary Sticky Bun with pine nuts and plum preserves and an Orange Blossom Brioche with house Greek yogurt and grated almonds. “From The Market” items will include Smashed Sierra Gold Potatoes with smoked munak ranch tomatoes, jerr’s arugula, salsa verde and two fried or poached eggs, Roan Mills Cream of Wheat served two ways with wither local walnuts, crown maple sugar and buttermilk or with a poached egg, cherry tomato, soal-loin and cured pork and a Grain Bowl served with kenter canyon wheatberries & brown rice, with avocadoes, pecans, ora king salmon cracklings, chili aioli and a poached egg. “To Finish” diners can choose from items such as Griddle Cakes with local stone fruit, almonds and crown maple syrup or for a savory take smoked ora king salmon with pickled res onion, drake farm goat cheese and cucumbers, Egg-In-The-Basket with smoked pork belly and spring hill firehouse cheddar cheese and Steak & Eggs served with brick layer steak with two sunny side up eggs, tomato persillade, watercress and salsa criolla.
To make this fun, neighborhood weekend brunch even more lively there will be several libation offerings presented. A new twist will be a Bottomless Rose 2011 Gaglioppo, CIRÒ Rosato available for $16 per person. A build your own michelada kit that serves 2 people and includes Pacifico 32 oz, tomato juice, Sal de Gusano, Worcestershire, fish sauce, and house-made hot sauce will be available for $16. Additional cocktails, wines, fresh juices, Clover Cold Pressed Juices, and more will be on the menu.
The restaurant is the perfect setting to either escape the heat with the crisp and tailored interior featuring exposed beams, full-length windows, graphic acid washed concrete floor, and mixed tones of light golden woods and warm reflective metals; or sit outside on a beautiful Los Angeles day on the private alley patio with light pine tables and lush greenery.
