Brunswick, Maine's No. 10 Water Restaurant At Captain Daniel Stone Inn Announces Full Slate Of Seasonal Events

Brunswick, Maine - The Captain Daniel Stone Inn (www.captaindanielstone.com), Brunswick, Maine's recently top-to-bottom renovated historic inn, invites locals and Inn guests to an array of events designed to celebrate autumn in Maine. A highlight of a visit to the Inn is dining in its No. 10 Water Restaurant (www.captaindanielstone.com/dining.html), which will host the seasonal events, Kim and John Verreault, the Inn's new owners, announced today.

"Brunswick is such a big draw to visitors in large part because of its excellent food, arts and music offerings," said Kim Verreault, the Inn's new proprietor. "We believe the fun, seasonal events we have planned will fit in perfectly with that vibrant scene."

October Festivities
The Inn's No. 10 Water Restaurant will kick off the season with an "OctoberFest Beer Tasting" to feature an array of ales from Maine favorite Gritty McDuff's, alongside a menu of creative, upscale "pub pairings."

"At our OctoberFest event on Friday, October 29, at 6 p.m., we'll feature several fall dishes - including a seasonal poutine, house-made brick oven pizza selections, and a local Maine cheddar and beer soup - that pair perfectly with Gritty's ales," noted Verreault.

The evening's menu is by recently hired Executive Chef Troy Mains, formerly sous chef at Georgetown, Maine's Robinhood Free Meetinghouse. Jim Desmond of Gritty McDuff's will be serving Gritty's Halloween Ale, Pub Style, 21 IPA, Brown Ale and Black Fly Stout and will share informative ale insights with attendees. The restaurant also will be giving away top-notch door prizes at the event, including two premium Bruins tickets for the 2010/2011 season. (For the evening's full menu and beer selections, visit www.captaindanielstone.com/news-events.html. The 21+ event is $30 per person, excluding tax/gratuity. Visitors also are invited to visit the Inn in costume on Saturday, October 30, for Halloween Eve dining. No. 10 Water Restaurant and Tavern staff will be preparing seasonal favorites and signature drinks for the evening beginning at 5 p.m., including its house special "Pumpkintini" cocktail, and prizes will be awarded for best costumes.

Families are invited to join in the weekend's fun the following day (Sunday, October 31), when young guests may trick-or-treat at the Inn on Halloween. Staff at the front desk will be handing out special treats to area "ghouls and goblins."
