Buon Anniversario, Bellini! Icon Restaurant Celebrates The 60th Anniversary Of The Bellini With A Bellini Brunch And Martni & Rossi Prosecco

New York (January 2008) - Created in 1948 by Guiseppe Cipriani at Harry's Bar in Venice, the bellini has become one of the most iconic cocktails in the world. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the original sparkling wine cocktail, ICON at W New York - The Court and Martini & Rossi� have partnered to put a modern twist on an Italian classic. Starting in early 2008, ICON restaurant, located at the W New York - The Court will offer an exclusive Martini & Rossi Bellini Brunch that invites New Yorkers to savor la dolce vita.

Brunch is never complete without a bellini and the talented mixologists of ICON have shaken and stirred this classic cocktail to create four modern morning libations. The original drink, consisting of prosecco and the puree of white peaches was named for Venetian artist Jacopo Bellini, who was renowned for his paintings of religious figures bathed in a golden glow. The similar golden glow of the Bellini cocktail was designed, so it's said, to honor those paintings. ICON's contemporary creations were designed for the twenty-first century. From the Aphrodisiac Bellini to the Blackberry Bellini, ICON's Martini & Rossi Bellini Menu perfectly complements Executive Chef Michael Wurster's limited edition menu of both savory and sweet brunch selections.

ICON's Martini & Rossi Bellini Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays from 10am -1pm beginning January 5th, 2008 at ICON, located at the W New York - The Court (130 East 39th Street at Lexington Ave). Brunch is three courses for $35 per person, inclusive of unlimited Martini & Rossi Prosecco Bellini's from the customized menu.
