Cafi Atlantico Hosts Exclusive Wine Dinner With Ken Forrester Vineyards

Cafi Atlantico, located at 805 8th Street, NW, will host a special wine dinner on Wednesday, May 10th at 7:00 pm with award-winning winemakers Ken Forrester and Martin Meinert of Ken Forrester Vineyards situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountains, in the heart of South Africa's famous wine region. The Nuevo Latino dinner, created by Head Chef Katsuya Fukushima, is priced at $95 per person, all inclusive, and will consist of five-courses paired with Forrester's handcrafted wines from one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape, dating back to 1689. In 1994 Ken Forrester purchased the vineyard for his own use and that same year, he made his first vintage. Over ten years later, Ken Forrester and Martin Meinert continue to work together in creating word-class wines which have even been poured for the celebratory dinner of Nelson Mandela's 85th birthday.
