Cameron Mitchell Restaurants Invest In The Future With Cscc Scholarships
President and Founder Cameron Mitchell believes each success story begins simply with a dream. After all, the entrepreneur who operates nine concepts and a catering division in his portfolio of more than 27 restaurants in seven states, started with nothing more than a scrap of paper, a pen, and a relentless drive to succeed. It's that kind of passion and determination that Mitchell helps to bolster through a special partnership with Columbus State Community College (CSCC.)
For the past seven years, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants (CMR) has provided financial assistance to Columbus State Community College students who are working in the foodservice industry in central Ohio. CMR has given over $13,000 to the Columbus State Development Foundation to fund this scholarship.
Chuck Kline, VP of Culinary Development at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is a graduate of Columbus State Community College (CSCC) and acts as a liaison between CMR and CSCC. Kline has been on the Apprentice Hospitality Advisory Committee for the past 8 years and has also sat on the Board of Directors for the Development Foundation for the past four years.
Columbus State Community College, in cooperation with the American Culinary Federation Columbus Chapter, offers classroom instruction and on-the-job training required for the National Apprenticeship Training Program of the American Culinary Federation (ACF). The Chef Apprenticeship Major is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Hospitality Management Programs (CAHM) and the American Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission.
