Captain Daniel Stone Inn's No. 10 Water Restaurant To Hold April 7th Spring Fusion Wine Dinner

The Captain Daniel Stone Inn's (www.captaindanielstone.com) on-site No. 10 Water Restaurant will be celebrating the arrival of spring by presenting a multi-course "Spring Fusion Wine Dinner" created by Executive Chef Troy Mains. The event, hosted by Pine State Beverage Co., will take place Thursday, April 7 beginning at 6:00 pm.

"Now that spring has finally arrived, we'd like to officially kick off the season with a dinner devoted to simple spring fare, accompanied by a variety of ideally matched wine selections," noted Kim Verreault, co-owner of the Captain Daniel Stone Inn and No. 10 Water Restaurant.

The five-course Spring Fusion Wine Dinner ($50 per person excluding tax/gratuity) will be accompanied by Italian, Chilean and California wine selections, meant to provide the perfect balance to the evening's fresh spring dishes.

Chef Mains will prepare a mache salad with crisp goat cheese, citrus vinaigrette and candied carrots alongside a Chilean Santa Rita Sauvignon Blanc RSV from Maipo Valley. The evening's next course will feature sea scallops with baby potato risotto and asparagus tempura paired with William Hill Chardonnay from Central Coast, CA. Braised rabbit crostini with olive oil poached cherry tomatoes and balsamic syrup with Piazzo Barbera, from Piedmont, Italy will make up the third course, while the dinner's fourth course will consist of roasted rack of lamb accompanied by pickled cherry relish with edamame and pea pure paired with Foppiano Petite Sirah from Sonoma, CA. The event's lush dessert will be sugar and spice beignets with espresso chocolate and raspberry sauce, to be served with Carpene Malvolti Prosecco from Veneto, Italy.
