The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club Rings In The New Year With A Global, Around The World Party
Most Affordable Event in South Beach Rings in New Year with All-Night Celebration with Hosts Ian Ziering and Grant Show
The Catalina Hotel and Beach Club, located at 1732 Collins Avenue in South Beach, goes global this year by toasting the New Year with unprecedented, over-the-top Russian, Brazilian and Japanese themed parties. Each of the hotel's three buildings will be transformed into foreign, exotic destinations where guests are invited to partake in a fun-filled 11-hour event and experience how New Year's Eve is celebrated in these far-away locations.
The affordable price of $150 per person allows guests to enjoy an all-access pass where they can freely roam "around the world" to each of the hotel's global parties while enjoying three separate delicious dinner buffets, dessert towers, open bar, specialty cocktails, live bands, DJs and other outstanding entertainment throughout the night. An added bonus to the evening are hosts from the popular television shows of the 90s - Ian Ziering of 90210 and Melrose Place's, Grant Show. Ian was a celebrity dancer on Season 4 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars so we expect him to show the Brazilian Carnival dancers a thing or two.
"As we ring in a new year we are faced with new challenges; but a tightened economy does not mean we should be forced to scale back on our fun," comments General Manager Linsey Harris. "Our mission has always been to offer a great value and this year The Catalina's creative team has put together a full scale celebration where the decadence is in the offerings and not the ticket price."
Highlights of the evening include the Japanese-inspired party at the hotel's Dorset building where guests can sip Asian cocktails while enjoying the beat of Japanese Taiko drummers and performances of a Hong Kong style dragon line at midnight. The heat turns up in Brazil in the Maxine building where feisty Brazilian fighter dancers perform to the distinct sounds of flamenco guitar players, South American gaucho musicians and percussionists. In the Russian-themed party at the Catalina building, guests can let loose in a wonderful winter wonderland while watching impressive Russian leaping dancers. They are invited to feast on a Russian delicacy buffet with a special caviar selection and enjoy a vodka and champagne bar complete with liquor ice sculptures. At midnight, there will be a complimentary champagne toast as guests may watch the Times Square Ball drop on large projections located in each room. With an open bar from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., three lavish supper buffets, live entertainment and doors not closing until dawn, this New Year's at The Catalina will surely be one to remember.
