Celebrity Chef Tour Benefiting The James Beard Foundation Is Serving Up A Star-studded Cast At The Rattlesnake Club

In what will be an unparalleled culinary tour de force, the Celebrity Chef Tour benefiting the James Beard Foundation is thrilled to announce that three top-tier chefs will recreate the famed James Beard House dinners at the prestigious Rattlesnake Club on Saturday, March 29th at 7pm.

The Tour, while harnessing the excitement and huge popular culture interest in all things food, benefits the James Beard Foundation, whose mission is to "celebrate, preserve and nurture America's culinary heritage and diversity in order to elevate the appreciation of our culinary excellence."

Mirroring the coveted Beard House dinners, for which the nation's top chefs come to prepare menus at the Foundation's invitation, The Celebrity Chef Tour features the greatest culinary artists, creating an elevated dining experience like no other.

As such, the Celebrity Chef Tour dinner at the Rattlesnake Club on March 29th promises to delight the palates of the most discriminating epicureans. Showcasing the talents of award-winning Celebrity Chefs Suzanne Goin, Bernard Guillas and hosting Celebrity Chef Jimmy Schmidt (they count 5 James Beard Foundation Awards, several Best Chef Awards and Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence among them!), the evening will begin with an elegant reception, featuring unique hors d'oeuvres creations served with a complementary wine selection. Suzanne Goin - Celebrity Chef

Talk about making the most of your college years-as a student at Brown University, Suzanne Goin worked at Providence's Al Forno, London's Le Mazarin, and L.A.'s L'Orangerie. After graduation, Goin landed a job under Alice Waters at Chez Panisse; two years later she headed to France where she worked at Pain Adour et Fantaisie, Arp�ge, and P�tisserie Christian Pottier. After returning to the United States, Goin held positions as sous-chef at Olives, head chef at Alloro, and graduated from sous-chef to executive chef at Campanile. In 1998, she opened Lucques; in 1999, the restaurant made Cond� Nast Traveler's 50 Hot Tables list, while Food & Wine featured Goin as one of the year's Best New Chefs. Gourmet and Bon App�tit swooned over Lucques in 2000, the same year it ranked No. 8 in The Saveur 100," thanks to food that "announces its presence at the table with its deep, rich perfume...one small taste stops conversation in its tracks."

In November 2005, Suzanne's cookbook Sunday Suppers at Lucques was published by Alfred A. Knopf. It received excellent reviews in Newsweek, Food & Wine, Elle and the Los Angeles Times. Now in its third printing, the book won the James Beard Award for Best Cookbook From A Professional Viewpoint in May 2006. Suzanne also won the Best Chef California award from the James Beard Foundation that same night.
