CINCINNATI, OH, March 24, 2009 - Chef Harvey Golden received the 2008 Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Cincinnati Chapter at the annual ACF Presidents Dinner held at the Savannah Center. This award recognizes an outstanding Chef who demonstrates the highest standard of culinary skills, advances the cuisine of America and gives back to the profession through the development of students and community involvement.
Golden is the owner and executive chef of MPG Events & Catering (formerly known as My Personal Gourmet) and GRAVY Comfort Cooking both located in Loveland, Ohio. He is an active member of the ACF chapter serving as the Chair for the ACF Chef and Child Foundation in Cincinnati, and has been recognized as an Accredited Certified Examiner (ACE), and as a Personal Certified Executive Chef (PCEC).
Chef Golden earned his culinary degree from the world renowned Midwest Culinary Institute (MCI) where he received his training from Certified Master Chef and current president of the ACF, John Kinsella. He also earned a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership from Xavier University.
