Chef Lamas Unveils Tapas For Mother's Day "bocaditos Brunch"

Chef Anthony Lamas has picked a very special day to debut his innovative brunch menu. Starting on Mother's Day, jmcama grill will be open Sundays from 1-4 p.m. offering a variety of seasonal "Bocaditos" in addition to some traditional favorites.

Bocaditos means "little bites" in Spanish, and chef Anthony Lamas has developed his brunch menu to allow guests to sample fresh, new tapas that range from Sausage and Egg Empanadas to Heart of Palm and Tomato Pizza.

A variety of huevos (eggs) will grace the menu, including Huevos con Queso, scrambled eggs and cheese, $2.95; Huevos con Chorizo, scrambled eggs and chorizo sausage, $3.95; Huevos Rancheros, fried eggs on a corn tortilla with roasted tomato salsa, $4.95; and Tortilla con Huevos, egg and tortilla casserole, $3.95.

Flavorful, light summer dishes that guests can enjoy on jicama's patio include a Wild Mushroom Ceviche, $6.95; Camarones Frio, grilled marinated, chilled shrimp with horseradish chimichurri, $7.95; and Spicy Crab Cigar with mojo and cucumber mint salsa, $7.95.

In addition to bocaditos, Chef Lamas will offer heartier fare including Marinated Grilled Salmon over organic greens with a pineapple ginger salsa and corn crisps, $14.95; Smoked Shrimp Nachos with Guajillo Chile Sauce, $11.95; and Beef Tenderloin and Chorizo Pizza with crispy onions, $10.95.

Passion Fruit Mimosas and refreshing Fruit Aguas, an innovative fruit and water beverage, will be served as a perfect complement to the brunch. Ceviches and appetizers from the regular menu and a soup of the day will also be available for brunch.
