Chef Shorne Benjamin to Participate in NYC Annual 2015 Rum and Rhythm Benefit and Auction

New York, NY, April 22, 2015 - ShorCulinaire is excited to announce that our Executive Chef, Shorne Benjamin, will be returning to New York City’s Annual Caribbean Tourism Week for the 2015 Rum and Rhythm Benefit and Auction. This annual fundraiser benefits the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and is the highlight of New York City Caribbean Week. Chef Shorne’s signature culinary art form, New Age Caribbean, melds Caribbean inspired dishes with international cuisine and adds his personal conceptual cooking flair. The resulting dishes offer a taste of St. Lucia enhanced by Chef Shorne’s signature flair. Chef Shorne’s vibrant and savory menu at last year’s Rum and Rhythm Benefit earned him recognition as one the top 3 chefs at the event.
NYC’s Annual Caribbean 2015 Rum and Rhythm Benefit and Auction will be the climax of the 2015 New York City Caribbean Week. The Benefit, hosted at the exclusive TriBeCa 360, will delight with the authentic flavors and rhythms of the Caribbean. Guests will have the opportunity to sample cuisine prepared by Chef Shorne, as well as other Caribbean celebrity chefs. In addition to the food, there will be award-winning Rums of the Caribbean and specialty cocktails prepared by popular mixologists just for this annual event. Guests will journey through the cultures, rhythms, cuisines, and rums of the Caribbean. The Silent Auction to benefit the CTO will feature one-of-a-kind items available for bid. Proceeds from the Silent Auction support development of sustainable tourism in the Caribbean that provides social and economic benefits directly to the Caribbean people. The NYC Annual Caribbean 2015 Rum and Rhythm Benefit is an event not to be missed and Chef Shorne is proud to be participating for the fourth year in a row.
