Chocolate Bar- Chocolatier's Sweet Deals (crain's)

Life is Sweet for Chocolate Bar owner Alison Nelson these days. The Chocolatier, who opened a tiny store at 48 Eighth Avenue three years ago is close to signing deals to take Chocolate Bar to Dubai and Toronto later this year. In addition, two local sites are set to open this summer.

In Toronto, Ms. Nelson is partnering with Limelight nightclub legend Peter Gatien. She's also negotiating a licensing agreement in Dubai where Chocolate Bar could become the first chocolate maker in the super rich country.
Closer to home, Chocolate Bar will run the cafe at Dance Theater Workshop in Manhattan and has opened a store on Long Beach Island in New Jersey.
