The Coaston Sisters Bring "summer To The City" With Father's Day Dinner Menu The Kingfish Cafe Offers Family Seasonal Favorites
When the Seattle sun comes out, what could tempt the palate more than tastes from the "the food we grew up with"? This Father's Day, The Kingfish Cafe is doing just that, as sister/owners Leslie and Laurie Coasten invite families to celebrate Pop at Sunday dinner with soulful Southern influenced dishes - just what they will be toasting their own Dad with at their Capitol Hill restaurant.
Kingfish Cafe Chef Kenyetta Carter suggests families start with Percy's Plate for Sharin' - a trio of Wonderful Dips or the Kingfish Crab and Catfish Cakes with Dixie Tartar. Alongside the Cafe's famous My Way or the Highway Buttermilk Fried Chicken, there will also be Barbecued Beef Ribs, Griddled Catfish and Gumbo, with several other menu choices. Summertime favorite, mile high Strawberry Shortcake is a perfect finish to a family meal.
Dad can also enjoy beer by the bottle, wine by the glass or one of the signature cocktails like an Alabama Old Fashion or a Bourbon Crusta. The entire family can relax, dine and enjoy with none of the clean-up. There is also plenty of free neighborhood parking.
The Kingfish Cafe is open for dinner seven days a week, with lunch served Monday through Friday, Brunch Saturday and Sunday, and Happy Hour from 4 to 6 pm Monday through Friday. For information call (206) 320-8757.
