The Copper Beech Inn Rated "best Country Inn"
The Copper Beech Inn announced today that it was designated "Best Country Inn" by Connecticut Magazine for the second consecutive year.
The Inn, an 1880's Victorian, is located in Ivoryton - one of three picturesque villages that make up the town of Essex. Just minutes from the scenic Connecticut River and the Long Island Sound shoreline, the Four-Star Inn along with its award-winning AAA Four-Diamond restaurant is just a two-hour drive from New York City and Boston.
The Copper Beech Inn's proprietor, Ian S. Phillips, stated "We are once again delighted to receive this designation by Connecticut Magazine. To be recognized in our home state is a tribute to all of the people who have made The Copper Beech Inn what it is today - including our discerning, wonderful guests and our top-notch staff."
The historic property features recently restored guest rooms and luxury suites. Tastefully appointed with period antiques, oriental rugs, richly textured upholstery and fabrics, and marble tiled bathrooms, the decor brings comfort and classic European sophistication to the grand estate.
The Inn's highly acclaimed restaurant with Mbitre d'Httel Christopher Sperling, Executive Chef William Von Ahnen and Sommelier Winthrop Pennock, features distinctive dining rooms with a seasonal Country French menu complemented by wine from the 5,000+-bottle award-winning wine cellar (Wine Spectator's "Award of Excellence", 2004).
