The Copper Beech Inn Receives 4-diamond Award
The Copper Beech Inn, selected as one of the "Top 100 Hotel Restaurants in America" by USA Today and Zagat, today announced it has received the coveted AAA Four Diamond award for its restaurant.
One of only seven restaurants statewide to receive this prestigious award, The Copper Beech Inn has received this honor for 13 consecutive years. The Inn's menus, created by Executive Chef Tyler Anderson, feature top quality, seasonal ingredients, from local farms and artisan producers.
At the Copper Beech, Chef Tyler is committed to serving sustainable seafood from around the world and meats and vegetables that have been raised, foraged, farmed or produced within a 150-mile radius of the Inn. He and crew expertly create housemade specialties like charcuterie, which is prepared with locally raised heritage pork and cured in the Inn's own curing room. His style of cooking is very much modern American, with a New England influence. And he puts his personal spin on French bistro classics for the Inn's Brasserie Pip.
In April, 2010, Tyler presented a "Sustainable Seafood" menu at the James Beard House in New York City making this the third consecutive year he has presented his menu to a sold out crowd.
Named in January, 2010 by the readers of Connecticut Magazine as the Best Country Inn and the recipient of the 2009 Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence, The Copper Beech Inn combines turn-of-the-century charm with luxurious modern conveniences. There are 22 spacious guest rooms and suites with private baths in the Main House, The Carriage House, and the newest building completed in early 2009, The Comstock House
