Craftsteak Receives Best New Restaurant Award

In Las Vegass increasingly ambitious restaurant scene, Tom Colicchios Craftsteak at the MGM Grand was named Best New Restaurant 2003 at Las Vegas Lifes fourth annual Epicurean Awards.

"It's wonderful to be recognized for our commitment to culinary excellence," said Gamal Aziz, President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Grand. "The philosophy of using exceptional ingredients, simply prepared, is carried to perfection at Craftsteak."

Craftsteaks best new restaurant award marks the second consecutive year an MGM Grand fine dining restaurant is bestowed with this honor: NOBHILL received this same award in 2002. These dynamic new restaurants have established MGM Grand as a true dining destination.

The Epicurean Awards, popularly called The Eppys, are awards chosen by Las Vegas Life readers. At Craftsteak, consistency in the highest quality food and service are of equal importance to us, and we are honored that Las Vegans recognize our commitment to excellence, said Tom Colicchio, four-time James Beard Award-winner and, in addition to Chef at Craftsteak, is Chef/Owner of Craft and Gramercy Tavern in New York City.

At Craftsteak, Tom Colicchio together with Chef de Cuisine Christopher Albrecht elevate the definition of a steakhouse by offering the highest quality seasonal ingredients from small family farms and artisanal producers. The ` la carte menu offers something for everyone: a great selection of grilled and braised meats from grilled kobe strip to braised pork belly, and for the non-meat eaters, the fish, shellfish, and vegetarian options are abundant with selections including vegetables, mushrooms, potatoes, grains and beans. In addition to the ` la carte menu, Craftsteak offers a Market Menu including choice of appetizer, entrie and dessert for $39 per person.
