From Creators Of Karu&y: Philosophy Cafi & Arrso Catering Debut At Casa Dicor

On the heels of the wildly successful opening of their opulent new downtown Miami dining sensation, Karu&Y, ARRSO Company partners Cesar Sotomayor and Elliot Monter, are once again weaving art, design and cuisine together with the launch of the company's new division, ARRSO Catering and Philosophy Cafi at the fabulous designer's showcase, Casa Dicor Miami 2006. ARRSO will serve as the official onsite caterer for the unique show house, which opens to the public on Friday, November 10, featuring over 60 interior and exterior installations showcasing the hottest trends in interior design.

Located at the transformed historic Miami Women's Club, at 1737 North Bayshore Drive, the team that brought Karu&Y to enthralled Miami foodies will run the full-service Philosophy Cafi, which will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Friday, November 10 through Sunday, December 17, with the exception of Thanksgiving Day. In a stunning room created by acclaimed Karu&Y designer Pepe Calderin, the restaurant will serve an all day menu, including a limited breakfast menu, designed by rising star Alberto Cabrera, the executive chef of Karu&Y who will oversee all culinary operations at Casa Dicor, including catering for special events and private functions that take place at Casa Dicor during the show's six week run.

Diners who have sampled Cabrera's innovative alta cocina menu at Karu, will no doubt recognize his artful style at Philosophy - and the innovative spin he puts on light meals and classic dishes. Menus will change each week and will include appetizers ($9.00 to $15.50) such as mahi salad with watercress, mojo, avocado, red onion and plantain chips and squid ink glazed meatballs served with cuttlefish linguini and toasted almonds and main courses ($13.50 to $22.00) including a braised brisket sandwich with baby spinach, dry figs and Cabrales cheese, BBQ lamb spareribs with apple slaw, green tomato and mint marmalade, as well as oxtail pappardelle with Crimini mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and asparagus tips. Delectable desserts ($7.00 - $9.00) include Manchego cheesecake, strawberry cannelloni and pineapple rosemary upside-down cake. Simple breakfast items, served in the poshest of settings, perfect for impressing clients at early meetings, include tropical fruit juices, chef made granola, flavored yogurts, fresh fruit, croquettes, empanadas, tortilla Espanola and a perfect cup of decaffeinated or freshly brewed coffee.

Just in time for season, socialites, savvy corporate VIPs, and arts aficionados who crave the most memorable, creative catering in Miami will want to book their events with Arrso Catering at Casa Dicor. To that end, Arrso Catering has created alta cocina menus that include iconic designer titles such as the starck soiree, gehry gathering, and eames affair, and run the gamut from fully stocked premium bars, signature cocktails, cold and hot hors d'oeuvres, imported cheeses, antipasto, sushi, dim sum, ceviche bars, paella, pasta and carving stations, to hard to resist dessert buffets, and range in price from $40 per person per hour to $95 per person per hour.

Philosophy created by Karu&Y will be open 7 days a week, excluding Thanksgiving; from Friday, November 11-Sunday, December 17, 2006, 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., on a first come, first served basis.
