The Curious Grape Offers Special Five-part Educational Series On Spanish Wine
The Curious Grape, a specialty wine and food haven located in Shirlington Village at 4056 South 28th Street, will offer a five-part, in-store wine seminar series called Passport to Spain during the months of July and August. All five sessions in the series are free and open to the public, and will be presented by a Certified Wine Educator or Certified Specialist of Wine from The Curious Grape staff. Each session includes a guided tasting of wines paired with authentic regional cheeses and specialty foods, which, taken together, amount to a comprehensive wine and cheese tour of Spain. Special discounts will be available on the wines featured at each session. The seminars will be held at 6 PM and 7 PM on Tuesdays, and repeated at 1 PM on Saturdays on the dates listed below.
July 18 (Tues) & 22 (Sat) - North Central Spain (including Rioja, Navarra, Carinena)
July 25 & 29 - Northeast, Catalonian Spain (including Cava, Penedes, Priorat, and Monsant)
August 1 & 5 - Northwest Spain Including Galicia & Castilla y Leon (including Rias Baixas, Bierzo, Toro, Rueda, and Ribera del Duero)
August 8 & 12 - Southeast Spain (including Jumilla and Yecla)
August 15 & 19 - South Central Spain (including La Mancha, the Sherry region, and Montilla Moriles)
