David Knight "The Fraudulent Chef" Releases His Latest Cookbook
David Knight, an accomplished chef, TV personality, cookbook author, and with his own line of induction cookware & professional cutlery... at 26, has achieved more than most in the culinary world.
But there's more on the horizon for Knight... his new cookbook Healthy Meat and Potatoes has just been released, with another coming right behind it The Fraudulent Chef, and a TV cooking series is in the works. He is also in the process of adding to his team of more than 20 professional cooks and chefs who travel nationwide performing live cooking shows promoting his exclusive line of Health Craft induction cookware and Arrowhead Cutlery.
As a teenager he began watching Emeril Lagasse, Molto Mario, and Jack Harris & Charles Knight (his dad) on the Food Network... TV Cooking Show Host Chef Tell of "PM Magazine" fame lived across the street. So it's no surprise that Knight traces his ambitious interests in food to television. "He was so creative and passionate about it; I began using many of his recipes on TV and included them in my cookbooks. He has a sophisticated pallet, can literally taste the outcome of the dish before preparation, and seldom follows anyone's recipes", his dad said.
When David was asked what he wanted for his 15th birthday, his answer "Cooking School". He honed his skills with summer classes at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, and the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY earning credits in Nutritional Cuisine, a course designed specifically for professional chefs... all of this before his 17th birthday, and soon after made his first TV appearance on ABC affiliate WTVT in Sarasota, FL.
Then where did the moniker "The Fraudulent Chef" come into play? "Well... I would have loved to have finished culinary school, but I enjoyed the media attention and income working as a Cooking Show Host for Health Craft. So, I didn't get a degree, felt a little embarrassed about being called 'Chef', and decided 'The Fraudulent Chef' was a humorous way to say I didn't get my diploma, but at the same time, offer respect for those who did".
Knight's new Cookbook, "Healthy Meat & Potatoes" is available through all major internet book sellers, or you can get one FREE when you order a set of his cookware.
