Melbourne is set to welcome British kitchen goddess Nigella Lawson and Spain's three Michelinstar chef Elena Arzak, among the inspirational women of the culinary world attending Melbourne Food and Wine Festival's Langham Melbourne MasterClass (12 and 13 March 2011), on sale from4 October 2010. Building on a 19-year history of delivering the globe's culinary cream, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival will celebrate three central themes as part of its 2011 Chef MasterClass program: 'Women of the Kitchen', 'The Lost Arts' and 'Stars of Spice', each inspired by heritage and tradition. Foodies can expect intimate access to trailblazing chefs and winemakers at gastronomy events including demonstrations, tastings and take-home recipes at Chef MasterClass, the cerebral forum of Theatre of Ideas, and exclusive chef and winemaker dinners. Crown restaurants, one of Melbourne's leading dining precincts, will showcase 'Stars of Spice' from around the globe at a series of dinners. Women feed the world, but male chefs own the fame!
