Dennymike Sherman Named To Board Of Directors Of National Bbq Association

DennyMike Sherman, founder of DennyMike's (www.dennymikes.com), the Maine-based, award-winning line of sauces and seasonings, has been elected to the board of the directors of the National BBQ Association.

"I believe in the benefits of the NBBQA," explained Sherman. "The members and leadership really helped me get my brand off the ground, and I'm excited about helping others do the same."

Since joining the NBBQA as he launched his business in 2006, Sherman has played an active role in educating New Englanders about the appeal of BBQ and encouraging fellow enthusiasts to become members of the organization. As a result, he was elected vice president of the New England Region and will serve on the board of directors for the next three years.

"The National Barbecue Association board of directors is made up of very successful and creative people who are passionate about all things barbecue," said Roy Slicker, NBBQA president. "The entry of Dennis Sherman onto our board as a regional VP is a huge plus for the NBBQA as a whole. His business experience and knowledge, communication skills and relationships will no doubt help spread the word about the benefits of this great trade association."

Sherman continues to earn awards and accolades for his line of all natural, gluten-free sauces and seasonings from organizations including the National BBQ Association, The Scovie Awards for Fiery Foods Challenge, The National BBQ News, and the Getting' Sauced Competition. Sherman also has accepted high-profile judgeships at some of the most renowned competitions in the country, including the Jack Daniel's World Invitational, Memphis in May and the American Royal in Kansas City.
