Dennymike's 'cue Stuff Bbq Products Earn Placement With Cabela's Stores Nationwide, And New Accounts From Three Major Northeast Distributors

Gluten-free, Maine-made rubs and sauces now available in more than 600 stores in 12 states,
including 50 Whole Foods Markets

York, ME - DennyMike's 'Cue Stuff (www.dennymikes.com), the all-natural, gluten-free line of barbecue sauces and rubs from Maine, has been picked up by Cabela's stores throughout the nation and by three additional major Northeast distributors. The announcement was made today by Dennis M. (DennyMike) Sherman, pitmaster, former chef, and the growing company's founder.

Cabela's, the world's foremost outdoor outfitter, has added DennyMike's Texas-style barbecue rubs to store shelves nationwide, and also is featuring the popular and versatile rubs for order on its website (http://tinyurl.com/y8qjnd6) and in its product catalog. Sherman reports that his line of sauces is under consideration for inclusion in Cabela's offerings for 2010, as well.
Earlier this year, DennyMike's 'Cue Stuff's small-batch, fat-free rubs and sauces were added to the exclusive roster at Associated Grocers of New England, Inc., a respected wholesale grocery distribution center that caters to independent retailers in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine and upstate New York. Consumer and retailer feedback is positive, and Sherman is ramping up production at his York, Maine, facilities to meet rising demand.

DennyMike's award-winning products also were recently picked up by Associated Buyers, which distributes specialty food products throughout the Northeast. Associated Buyers has introduced the barbecue line at traditional natural foods stores, specialty and gourmet stores, farm stands, country stores, restaurants, bakeries and independent markets, as well as at food service outlets from northern New Jersey to Maine.

In additional promising business news, Sherman's recent affiliation with Seacrest Foods International, Inc., in Everett, Mass., means that DennyMike's 'Cue Stuff will be front and center with a growing number of customers at more than 50 Whole Foods stores throughout Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and northern New Jersey. Sherman is a frequently invited guest at Whole Foods Markets, and demonstrates the wide variety of his barbecue products' uses on chicken, pork, beef, vegetable dishes and sides to "'cue" converts and cooking novices alike.

"It's encouraging to be picked up by so many stores and distribution contacts," said Sherman. "I have loved authentic Texas barbecue since I was a young man, and I have a passion for everything about it - from introducing people to the taste of it, to helping them learn how to make it well themselves in their own backyard. These opportunities for growing DennyMike's 'Cue Stuff are really helping me spread the word about the fantastic world of barbecue as a whole."

The company's new expansion channels translate into dramatically increased exposure for Sherman. DennyMike's products are now available at more than 600 specialty stores and major markets in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and at select locations in Pennsylvania, Florida, Washington State and Texas.

Late last month, DennyMike's 'Cue Stuff was selected as a finalist in the "New England's Best Products Showcase" at the Natural Products Expo East. Held in Boston, the Expo attracted more than 21,000 retailers, entrepreneurs and journalists who gathered in search of the newest natural products in the industry.

Sherman also made headlines earlier this year at the 18th Annual National Barbecue Association's (NBBQA) Conference & Expo, held this past spring
