New York, NY, November 14, 2008: The Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless (A.C.E.) and its neighborhood initiative, the SoHo Partnership will host a shopping and dining event to raise money for homeless men and women this holiday season. The SoHo Holiday Stroll will take place throughout SoHo on Thursday, December 11 from 6:00 to 11:00 pm. On the night of the SoHo Stroll, participating venues will stay open late and shoppers will have exclusive access to discounts and promotions in each store, gallery or restaurant. Promotions will range from shopping and dining discounts to free samples to complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

"The SoHo Stroll will be a festive night, but it's also an opportunity for the SoHo Partnership to foster a sense of community in our neighborhood," says Henry Buhl, founder and board chair of A.C.E. The stores and businesses participating in the SoHo Stroll will be raising money to support homeless men and women.

At this time, participating bars and restaurants include Balthazar, Barolo, Centovini Restaurant, Lure, L'Orange Bleue and Spring Lounge. Examples of Stroll promotions are 15% of your check and live belly dancing at Moroccan hotspot L'Orange Bleue; Centovini Restaurant is offering a 10% discount on its fare, including their famous list of one hundred Italian wines; and Spring Lounge is extending happy hour until midnight. Diners can check www.sohoholidaystroll.com closer to the event for a more complete list of restaurants and specific promotions.

To qualify for discounts and promotions, shoppers will purchase a $20 silicone bracelet. A $150 V.I.P. ticket grants admission to an exclusive after-party. Bracelets will be for sale at participating restaurants. For more information, call (212) 274-0550 x17.
