Distinguished Relais & Chateaux Designation Announced For Executive Chef William Bradley Of Addison
Chef William Bradley has been designated as one of the elite members of Grands Chefs of the Relais & Chateaux hotel and restaurant group. The Relais & Chateaux Congress, which Chef Bradley attended, officially presented selected new members of this prestigious international organization at its annual recognition ceremony, held on Nov. 7 in Cape Town, South Africa.
"To be accepted into the ranks of Relais & Chateaux Grands Chefs is the greatest honor of my career," stated Chef Bradley. "This membership includes chefs from all over the world who I have highly respected for years, and I'm thrilled to be associated with this august group under the aegis of this organization."
Chef Bradley is now one of 160 chefs on five continents to have the Grand Chef designation. There are only 17 in the United States, including six Grands Chefs in California. Chef Bradley is the only member in San Diego. All restaurants included in this membership are recognized by Relais & Chateaux as some of the best restaurants in the world and listed in the Relais & Chateaux 2011 Guide.
In order to be recognized for this award of excellence, a rigorous inspection and evaluation of Addison, adjacent to The Grand Del Mar, was conducted. Judged are the welcome and service, the setting and comfort, and all details of the culinary experience including "perfect mastery of the techniques of 'taste;' consistency in the quality of the produce chosen; recipes that are creative and innovative; pleasing presentation in harmony with the style of the property; a wine list offering a wide national and international selection" and other qualities.
Addison will also be a part of Relais & Chateaux's Gift Certificate and Lys Offer program. The Addison Grand Chef Lys Offer, which is available to Relais & Chateaux guest members and valid for two years, features a gourmet dinner for two with beverages included for the price of 560 euros.
