Dolcevita Brings The "sweet Life" Of Authentic Italian Dining To Atlanta!
DolceVita Ristorante Italiano is a new restaurant in Duluth (now Johns Creek), offering authentic Italian cuisine from the Alps to Sicily. It was opened in June by Franco and Karen De Amicis and their daughters and sons-in-law. Franco is native-born Italian and cousin to screen star Rudolph Valentino who was also passionate about cooking. He began learning to cook with his grandmother and mother in Puglia. He is now a long time chef and restaurateur who has owned restaurants in Florida and Italy, and has managed the venerable Bice in Manhattan (one of the Top 25 restaurants in New York City).
DolceVita has already received write-ups in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, The Hudspeth Report, Forsyth Living, Points North, and has an article on the Cumming Home website regarding the health benefits of Italian food. Word of mouth has it that the food is truly authentic and delicious! Once a guest has dined at DolceVita, they come back again and again to explore the extensive menu.
The DolceVita family owned has a genuine concern for guest satisfaction, hoping you will feel at home there. They want to introduce people to Italy's wide variety of cuisine in a warm, welcoming, casually elegant atmosphere where one can feel just as comfortable in a suit or in nice jeans. Of course they are family friendly with a children's menu of favorites.
Everything is made from scratch in their kitchen. They are a "can do" establishment - if you have a favorite dish that is not on the menu, just ask Franco. If he has the ingredients in stock, he will step into the kitchen and make it for you! The cuisine is as varied as Italy itself: delicate seafood, hearty tender steaks, creative pastas and popular dishes like calamari, lasagna and tiramisu. There are also wine tastings and five course wine dinners every month, creative cocktails and catering (in-house or on location). The extensive wine list is about 80% Italian and 20% Californian, and well matched to the menus.
The restaurant is conveniently located near both 400 (exit 11 or 12) and I-85 (Pleasant Hill exit) at 11705 Medlock Bridge Rd., next door to Johns Creek Technology Park. The lunch menu includes panini (sandwiches)), soups, salads, and entrees with many items under $10 in under 20 minutes.
Lunch is served Tues - Fri 11am to 2:30pm. Dinner is served Sun. 5 to 9pm, Mon. - Thurs. 5 to 9:30pm, and Fri. - Sat. 5 to 10:30 pm. The entire restaurant is available to reserve for parties of 50 or more on Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons - a beautiful dining room for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, large birthday parties, or other special occasions. Reservations for up to 4 people can be made directly on the website. For larger parties a quick phone call is all it takes. Visit www.DolceVitaAtl.com to see the menus and a list of events.
