Drink Me Magazine Got A Makeover!

We just celebrated our third birthday and decided that it was time for a little nip 'n' tuck. What do you think? It all started with updating our logo for something a bit more robust, more grown up, and more modern.

The changes aren't just on our cover. We've redesigned the look and feel of our entire magazine. New typeface, new graphics, and even a sleek new matte paper stock have worked their way into the Drink Me world. Our readers are quite the snappy dressers, so we wanted to follow suit!

This fancy new 'us' is all thanks to our new Creative Director, Tracy Sunrize Johnson. We fell in love with her quirky vibe via her work on several publications for Chronicle Books, including our personal favorite 'L is for Lollygag.' Tracy's work runs the gamut from books to magazines, catalogues, posters, stationary, and logos. Her vibrant style is perfect for delivering Drink Me's lifestyle through the glass. This new look makes its debut just in time for the "Five Tastes" issue. In this issue, we dive into the basic building blocks of taste, and how they manifest in our favorite drinks. We discuss the sour beer phenomenon taking hold of the US, the difficulty in describing the many flavors of whiskey, and the origins of bitters. Curious about sweet wines, or even salty wines? We have a roundup of the world's great stickies (aka the sweetest of wines) and a look at exactly what a manzanilla sherry is. Our new design writer covers classic glassware, and we even have a new travel column that kicks things off in Bogota, Colombia.
