EASTER AT THE HEATHMAN KIRKLAND: ONE SPECIAL DAY!

EASTER AT THE HEATHMAN KIRKLAND: ONE SPECIAL DAY, SEVERAL DINING CHOICES

For those who celebrate the holiday, April 5th, Easter Sunday, is a time for families to gather together for a relaxed meal and perhaps a mid-day egg hunt. For Chef Brian Scheehser, it is an opportunity to flex creative muscles and put a spin on classic dishes, using fruits, vegetables and herbs from his 18-acre Woodinville farm. At Trellis Restaurant in The Heathman Hotel Kirkland, it is an occasion for guests to select from multiple relaxed holiday dining options.

Guests looking for a light filled, comfortable spot for Sunday brunch, will appreciate the expansive windows in the award winning restaurant, with the additional possibility of outdoor heated patio dining. Served from 6am to 2pm, the menu offers choices for every appetite. From “Build Your Own Scramble”, omelets, and eggs benedict to Belgian waffles, steel cut oats, French toast and corned beef hash, Chef Brian tempts the palate with fresh ingredients for a true “turf to table” experience. Salads, soups, sandwiches and burgers, round out the extensive list of offerings.

Patrons looking for a more intimate dining experience can enjoy Afternoon Tea from 12- 4pm at The Heathman. If dining near a toasty fireplace is more to one’s liking, those celebrating Easter’s theme of life and rebirth will dine on a feast of savory tastes, warm flakey scones, a vast array of sweet treats, and complement it all with their choice of artisan tea.

Hunting high and low for a multitude of colorful eggs can cause one to work up quite an appetite. For those who are looking for a mid-afternoon dining experience low on work but high in value, Trellis offers a Happy Hour menu on Easter from 2 – 6pm. Hot-out-of-the-oven flatbreads are crowd pleasers, available with a variation of toppings. Barbecue ribs are a satisfying choice as are Piri Piri spiced grilled chicken skewers. Filling salads, barbecue pork or cheesesteak sandwiches, burgers and grilled flat iron steak are just a few of the many choices. Many holiday celebrants prefer to gather for a family dinner. From 4 – 9pm, they can choose from Chef Brian’s 3 for $33 dinner or order from the regular menu. The three-course option includes more than a half dozen signature Trellis starters; selections of meat, fish, pasta and vegetarian entrees; and enough desserts to sate even the largest sweet tooth.

Advance reservations are strongly recommended for Easter Sunday brunch, tea and dinner. Happy Hour is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Brunch items are individual priced. Tea is $32 per person and $19 for those twelve years of age and under. Happy Hour pricing varies according to item ordered. Dinner is a la carte pricing or 3 courses for $33.
