El Celler de Can Roca Tour Returns to America in 2015.

Roca Tour Returns to America
Argentina and USA in the route
Cook. Travel. Learn. Improve.

New Orleans and Buenos Aires will be the two new stops in the history of El Celler de Can Roca, which after its successful and inspiring first journey to the Americas in 2014 will take the restaurant’s team on a new cooking tour experience starting next August.

The 2015 working plan will be similar to that of last year, anticipated Chef Jordi Roca to www.foodswinesfromspain.com, including a preliminary trip to the different destinations in order to become familiar with ingredients available at each.

The tour will return to Houston, in Texas, and is assessing the possibility of also visiting Mendoza, in Argentina, as well as other US cities, Roca added.

Traveling is a critical source of inspiration for the Roca brothers, who believe culinary professionals should get out of their confort zones to learn and let creativity fly high.

The 2014 tour, sponsored by BBVA, took El Celler de Can Roca to the United States, Colombia, Perú and Mexico. According to Roca, more than 50 recipes were created for this tour, some of which will be incorporated into the restaurant’s menu.

In addition to the US and Argentina, the 2015 Roca tour will also visit Turkey, Roca indicated. Spanish bank BBVA revalidates as tour sponsor.
