Eleven Thermalloy Stainless Steel Cookware Products By Browne-halco Earn Acf Seal Of Approval
The American Culinary Federation, Inc. (ACF), the nation's premier organization for professional chefs and cooks, has awarded 11 Thermalloy Stainless Steel Cookware products by Browne-Halco, Inc., its prestigious ACF Seal of Approval. The products were submitted for extensive testing and were approved by members of ACF's Seal of Approval committee, effective July 12, 2010.
"Browne-Halco is thrilled to be able to enhance our high-quality value message with this prestigious ACF Seal of Approval for our Thermalloy Stainless Steel Cookware line," said David S. Richman, director of U.S. sales. "This really means a lot to us. This designation extends our high-quality value message to an even broader range of potential customers."
Keith Davis, CEC, AAC, chair of the ACF Seal of Approval committee, applied the organization's rigorous testing criteria to the following 11 NSF-approved Thermalloy Stainless Steel Cookware products: brazier; deep stock pot; double boiler; Excalibur coated non-stick fry pan; natural finish fry pan; paella pan; pasta cooker; sauce pan; saute pan; tri-ply fry pan; and tri-ply wok. The committee evaluated the products' physical performance, performance when various cooking methods were applied, adaptability, and accuracy of labels and marketing materials.
"The products were tested using a variety of cooking methods, from boiling and frying to braising and baking, and passed all of our committee's standards for excellence," said Davis. "The products successfully completed our rigorous testing. ACF is proud to allow these 11 products to carry the ACF Seal of Approval distinction."
The ACF Seal of Approval program offers foodservice manufacturers the opportunity to have products endorsed by the premier organization of professional chefs in the U.S. Unlike other entities that offer tasting endorsements only, the ACF Seal requires extensive product testing and evaluation. After three years, ACF determines if the product needs to be retested.
