Baked, the Red Hook bakery that's exploring new frontiers in American desserts is now offering a selection of enticing pies, mouthwatering cakes and distinctive brownies & bars -- all with autumnal spices and flair.

Tempting new desserts include: Spice Cake with Eggnog Buttercream; Classic Apple Pie; Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Bread; Chocolate Pecan Bourbon Pie; and Peppermint Brownies and Marshmallows, as well as three different kinds of baked Granola. Whether you plan to celebrate the season, or put off holiday shopping and just tuck-in, Baked delivers. Or, come explore the 'hood and visit Baked, where there are new Fall drinks to warm you up -- Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Peppermint Hot Chocolate with homemade marshmallows; and Hot Caramel Cider & Gingerbread Steamers.

Obsessed with the four main food groups (sugar, butter, eggs, chocolate), owners Matt Lewis, Renato Poliafito and Rafi Avramowitz, opened Baked in January 2005. Baked creates updated versions of classic American three-layer cakes pies, brownies, cookies and more. All baked goods are made daily on premises with only the freshest ingredients.

Signature desserts include: Aunt Sassy's Pistachio Surprise, white cake with roasted pistachios and vanilla honey buttercream; Red Hook Red Hot, a dreamy red velvet cake smothered in cinnamon buttercream and dotted with candied Red Hots; Original Deep Dark, Spicy, and Peanut Butter Brownies -- with velvety chocolate flavor and just the right texture; their signature Bakedbar and Snap Crackle Poppin' Peanut Butter Bar; as well as the best tasting cupcakes and cookies. In addition to sweets, Baked serves a light lunch menu of soups, quiches and pressed sandwiches.

Baked is located at 359 Van Brunt Street, between Dikeman and Wolcott Streets. Store hours are Monday - Friday, 7am - 7pm; Saturday, 9am - 7pm; and Sunday, 9am - 6pm. Baked delivers for $15 to Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan; $20 for the rest of Manhattan to 125th Street.
