CHICAGO, Ill. (July 12, 2006) - On Saturday, August 9, Chef/Partner Tony Mantuano invites patrons to join him and his culinary team as he hosts his next cooking class at Spiaggia (980 N. Michigan Avenue, 2nd Level). Entertaining Wine Bar Style will give the participants a chance to see how Chef Tony entertains at home, the Mediterranean way! Great for anyone who loves cooking and wine, the class will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Spiaggia's kitchen. Lunch and wines to match will follow the class.

Chef Mantuano's delicious wine bar menu for the class includes:

Selezione di Pesce Crudo
Selection of raw and marinated fish

Mozzarella Bar
Tasting of imported mozzarella with assorted accompaniments

Insalata di Spinaci
Spinach salad with shallots, Chianti vinaigrette and crispy Parmigiano flatbread

Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe
Pasta with Pecorino Romano cheese and black pepper

Datteri al Mascarpone
Mascarpone cheese filled dates with chocolate

The cost to attend is $125 per person, all-inclusive.

Entertaining Wine Bar Style is the third in a series of cooking classes led by Chef Tony throughout the year. The final class, Interactive Cooking for Fall, will be held October 21 in the Private Dining Rooms of Spiaggia.

Spiaggia features luxurious, regional Italian cuisine by James Beard Award-winning Chef/Partner Tony Mantuano and Executive Chef Missy Robbins. The restaurant is open for dinner Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.; Monday through Thursday from 6 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The restaurant accepts all major credit cards. Validated parking
is available at One Magnificent Mile Parking located at 120 East Walton, or at 100 East Walton Street (just west of Michigan Avenue).
